ABOUT PDFG

The PDFG Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Enrichment Program is a customizable, evidence informed framework designed to strengthen students’ social-emotional competencies, behavioral regulation, and school engagement through interactive, movement-based experiences.

Each program, which is available in Golf or MultiSport format, utilizes structured physical activity and guided reflection as a vehicle for SEL skill acquisition and psychoeducational growth. Using the TruGolf MultiSport system, students engage in sports such as Bowling, Soccer, Basketball, Football, Cornhole, Disc Golf, Hockey, FootGolf, Baseball, and Dodgeball, each adapted to teach specific CASEL competencies in a safe, inclusive, and engaging setting.

All PDFG programs are designed for flexible delivery across school-day clinics, after-school programs, weekend family engagement sessions, and summer enrichment offerings, allowing seamless integration into school improvement plans, Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO-P) structures, and MTSS frameworks.

Mentors reinforce SEL skills, support positive behavior, and follow guidelines approved by clinicians. Clinician oversight ensures PDFG aligns with trauma informed practices, restorative approaches, CASEL competencies, and MTSS tiers.

Our reach is limitless meaning we integrate at all school like settings include private, charter & home schooled in addition to the public school system with target groups & accessibility to all.

PDFG’s customizable SEL Enrichment Programs provide a clinically informed, evidence-aligned, and educator-friendly model that translates SEL theory into measurable behavioral outcomes through play-based experiential learning. Each session builds not only athletic or activity skills but also the internal regulation systems, interpersonal awareness, and responsible decision-making capacity that underpin academic and lifelong success.

PDFG’s SEL enrichment model is grounded in the following interdisciplinary frameworks:

1. CASEL’s Five Core Competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making.

2. Multi-Tiered System of Supports: Supports Tier 1 prevention, Tier 2 early intervention by providing structured, skills-based practice of SEL strategies & Tier 3 clinical coaching.

3. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports: Reinforces schoolwide expectations—Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible—within real-world contexts.

4. Trauma-Informed Practice: Lessons incorporate predictability, safety, choice, and coregulation to support students with histories of stress or trauma.

5. Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy: Language, examples, and facilitation reflect the cultural and social identities of all learners, ensuring relevance and belonging.
